Policies

Minimum Standard of Flying

DALVirtual pilots are expected to fly with a reasonable level of realism and professionalism while representing the airline.

Allowed simulators

  • X-Plane 11 and X-Plane 12
  • Prepar3D v4.5 and Prepar3D v5.x
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024
  • Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020

Flight conduct

  • Pilots should use realistic routes, altitudes, speeds, and procedures where possible.
  • Pilots should avoid reckless flying, intentional crashes, unrealistic shortcuts, or conduct that damages the airline image.
  • Aircraft should be appropriate for the route and operation being flown.
  • Flights should be completed honestly and not falsified.

Network and community behavior

If flying on a public network or around other virtual pilots, DALVirtual members should be respectful, follow network rules, and represent the airline professionally.

Reports and activity

DALVirtual may require flight reports, screenshots, logs, or other proof of activity depending on the systems used. Reports should be accurate and submitted through approved channels.

Training and improvement

New pilots are welcome. Members are encouraged to learn, ask questions, and improve over time. Staff may provide guidance when a pilot needs help meeting airline standards.
